General Route Settings lets you set default values that are automatically applied when you create a route, such as your depot location and service time. By configuring these settings once, you can skip repetitive input, saving time and reducing errors during route setup. This is especially helpful if you tend to plan routes that uses the same routing parameters.

1) Accessing the feature

To access the feature, you can navigate to:

  1. Click the Routes page from menu

  2. Click General Route Settings

2) Configuring the General Route Settings

Here are the common used route parameters that you can configure to be used as default values whenever you create a route:

  • Start & End Depot: Start and end point of the driver in a route.
    โ€‹

  • Default Route Time Window: The time window when the driver performs the job. (This will be auto-applied when planning routes to save you from manual input)
    โ€‹

  • Route Time Window Presets: These are pre-configured time windows that you commonly used such as 'Morning', 'Afternoon', 'Evening' etc.

(You can easily select these from a dropdown list to save you from manual input)
    โ€‹

  • Service Time: The time required to perform the job, for example, the time taken to find a parking lot, load/unload the goods, time for installation etc.

  1. Ensure that you have filled up your desired fields

  2. Once the fields from General Route Settings are filled up, you can create another route and see the respective field is filled up with the default setting you have set.

Note: This setting is available on a user level so each of your subusers can customize their own General Route Settings depending on their context. Make sure that you have enabled the permission for the user so that they can access the Routing page.
