How to Create Recurring Jobs

The Recurring Jobs feature in Detrack enables you to automate job creation based on a predefined schedule—eliminating the need to manually create or import jobs each day. This helps maintain consistency in your operations and reduces the chances of missing job entries.

By setting up job templates and scheduling them in advance, Detrack handles the repetitive work for you—freeing up your time to focus on overseeing deliveries and growing your operations.

Accessing the Recurring Jobs Feature

From here, you’ll be able to view all your recurring schedules and create new ones.

Navigate to Jobs -> Recurring Jobs

Creating a Recurring Schedule

There are 2 ways to set up recurring jobs.

  1. From the Jobs Table

    1. Select one or more jobs -> Actions -> Create recurring schedule

    2. A pop-up will appear, prompting you to fill in the necessary details

    Here are the configurations for setting up a recurring schedule

Name of schedule (required)

This is the name of your recurring schedule

Start of recurring schedule

Your first scheduled job will be based on this start date and your job creation frequency.

Frequency of job creation

This determines how the time interval of when the scheduler will create jobs in Detrack

Create jobs in advance

You can set jobs to be created a few days in advance, before the actual delivery date.

Consider non working days/date

Jobs will not be scheduled for creation when your job date falls on your designated non-working days or dates.

Default job status for creation

You may select an alternative default job status for this recurring schedule, if not it will follow your setting from Primary Job Status.

Default driver assignment

You can define which driver the scheduled jobs are assigned to.

Delivery Sequence

For controlling the index of the jobs appearing in the Driver App.

Run No

The run number which the job belongs to

3. Once details are entered, click “Save recurring schedule”.

If you already have existing recurring schedule, you can choose Actions -> “Add to existing schedule

4. Select the schedule name -> Save

2. From the Recurring Jobs page

  1. Navigate to Jobs -> Recurring Jobs

  2. Click “Add new recurring job

  3. A pop-up will appear, prompting you to fill in the necessary details

  4. Click “Save recurring job

Managing your Recurring Schedules

From the Recurring Jobs page, you can manage or delete the existing schedules. There is a toggle column named ‘Active’ where you can enable/disable the schedule.

To edit the existing recurring schedule, you can click the edit button.

To delete the recurring schedule you can click the trash bin button:

Viewing Recurring Jobs Logs

Each recurring job schedule includes a comprehensive log history that offers clear visibility into its execution status, helping users quickly identify and resolve any issues:

  • Success – Indicates that all jobs were created successfully as per the schedule.

  • Partially Scheduled – Appears when only some jobs were created, often due to duplicate entries.

  • Failed Attempts – Shown when no jobs were created, typically because of duplicate entries or the scheduled date falling on blackout days (non-working days).
