You can allow drivers to send a standardized pre-delivery SMS text messages to customers before arriving at the delivery location. This helps keep customers informed and ensures that your customer is ready to receive the delivery or collection.
(Note: This feature is different from the automated SMS notifications feature which are sent through a SMS provider such as Twilio or Vonage using your business Sender ID or phone number. For this feature, the SMS messages are sent via the driver’s personal phone number)
The setting is found under Settings > Job > POD.
Enable Driver can send pre-job text and click Save.
Note: Make sure to include the customer phone number in the job details during job creation to be able to utilize this feature.

When This Setting Is Enabled
Drivers can send pre-job text to customers by following these steps:
Sending Pre-delivery Text via Whatsapp to customers
Additionally, if your operations are based in Singapore and Malaysia, drivers can send pre-delivery text via whatsapp to customer as well, using the same pop-up menu.
When This Setting Is Disabled
The option for Send Pre-Delivery Text will not available in the driver app.
