If your workflow requires that a job cannot be created unless certain jobs are filled up, this feature will be useful for you. You can set specific job fields as mandatory fields that needs to be filled up during job creation. This helps maintain data quality and consistency across all jobs so that you and your driver has sufficient detail to perform the job successfully.
Navigate to Settings > Job > Fields and locate the Mandatory column. Check the box for each field you want to require, then click Save.
Once enabled, mandatory fields will be marked with an asterisk (*) on the Job creation form. In this example you can refer to ‘Assign to’, ‘First Name’ and ‘Last name’
If you try to save a job without filling out a mandatory field, an error prompt will appear.
Importing Jobs With Mandatory Fields
Mandatory fields also apply when importing jobs from a file. If any row is missing a value in a required column, the import will fail and an error prompt will appear indicating which rows and fields need to be filled in.
Update the file with the missing values and re-import.
