Drivers can already scan a QR code or barcode from their camera to pick up a job. This feature lets dispatchers send job QR codes to drivers (through chat, email, or any messaging app), and drivers can select the code from their phone’s photo gallery to pick up the job.
This is useful for drivers working remotely, picking up jobs without being physically on-site, or when a QR code image is easier to share than printing it.
Enabling The Setting
Navigate to Settings > Job > POD and find Enable driver to scan to pick up jobs. Make sure this parent setting is enabled first.
Then enable the child setting Allow drivers to select barcodes/QR codes from photo gallery.
You can also enable the related setting Prevent drivers from picking up jobs that are already assigned to make sure drivers don’t accidentally take over jobs already assigned to someone else.
Click Save to apply.
Driver App Experience
When this setting is enabled:
In the Driver App, tap Menu, then tap Task scan > Pick up package.
Tap Choose from Gallery and select the QR code or barcode image
Once the code is recognized, a success message will appear. Tap Confirm to accept the job.
The job list will update and the picked up job will appear.
