This feature allows drivers to retry failed deliveries or collections directly from the app without needing dispatcher intervention. When a driver reattempts a job, the original failed job is labelled with red to show it's been reattempted, while a new duplicate job is created at the bottom of the job list with an active status. This allows drivers to immediately reattempt previously failed jobs and keep deliveries on track.

You can configure this setting under Settings > Job > POD.

Firstly, enable ‘Driver may reattempt failed jobs’ and click Save.

Driver App Experience

When This Setting Is Enabled

Drivers can reattempt jobs that were not successfully completed:

  1. Long press on a job with Not Delivered or failed status in the job list.

  2. Choose Reattempt Job from the menu.

  3. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Tap Yes to confirm.

  4. A confirmation message will appear indicating the job has been reset and can be reattempted. Tap OK.

  5. The job status changes from Not Delivered to In Progress and can now be attempted again.

Manager/Dispatcher Dashboard View

When a driver reattempts a job, the following changes occur in the dashboard:

Original Failed Job:

  • The current job with failed status will turn into a deeper red color to indicate it has been reattempted.

New Reattempted Job:

  • A duplicate job is created and added to the bottom of the job list with Out for Delivery or In Progress status.

This allows managers and dispatchers to track both the original failed attempt and the new reattempt separately.

When This Setting Is Disabled

When a driver long presses on a failed or not delivered job, the Reattempt Job option will not appear in the driver app pop up menu.
