The Marketplace feature enables you to post jobs from your Detrack dashboard directly to the Detrack Driver App, allowing your drivers to view and grab available jobs in real-time.
This feature is designed for businesses that handle ad-hoc deliveries or operate courier services where jobs need to be distributed flexibly among available drivers. It creates a private, Uber-style marketplace exclusively for your team.
Once a job has been grabbed by a driver, the Detrack dashboard will auto update the Assign to field based on the driver that has grabbed the job. For each job, you can also set a job offer fee so that drivers can see the compensation before claiming the job.
Enabling the marketplace feature for a job
Firstly, you will need to enable the marketplace feature from the Settings page:
Navigate to Settings > Delivery > Fields.
Enable Open To Marketplace > Save.
Go to Vehicles, click on the vehicle that you allow to grab marketplace jobs.
Click on Show Advanced Details and enable Can grab marketplace jobs. Click Save.
From the jobs table, you can add a Delivery or Collection to view the marketplace option in the job form. Enable Open to Marketplace and Click on Save.
(Note: Ensure that the job is not assigned to any Driver)
How drivers can grab it from the driver app
Now that you have enabled the above settings, the job will now appear on the Driver’s app marketplace for drivers to grab. (Click on the menu tab on the top right corner and choose 'Marketplace')
Importing Jobs Into The Marketplace
For importing Marketplace jobs via Excel / CSV, create a column named “ Open to marketplace” and input value of 1 or Y for jobs that you wish to open to drivers to grab and 0 or N for jobs that you do not want to open up to the marketplace.
If you wish to import the job fee for the marketplace jobs, create a column named Marketplace Offer and input the amount corresponding to the job. Note that once the Excel or CSV file is uploaded with marketplace jobs, the jobs will immediately be sent to the drivers’ smartphones, hence the timing of the uploading needs to be considered.
Enabling Marketplace For All Jobs
For default enabling of the marketplace feature for all of your jobs, navigate to Settings > Delivery/Collection > Scroll down to the bottom of the screen > Switch on Open To Marketplace > Save.
Bulk Updating Jobs to be Open to the Marketplace
For updating jobs to be available in the marketplace in bulk, you can follow the steps below:
Navigate to the Jobs > Bulk Update
Enter the D.O. numbers along with the date and job type
Select Yes or No to update the marketplace in bulk
A preview will appear. If everything is already correct, click confirm to update
How to Restrict Jobs Visibility in the Marketplace Based on Assigned Groups
You can control which jobs your drivers see in the Marketplace based on their assigned groups. When you enable group restrictions, drivers will only see jobs that belong to their designated group,
You can navigate to Settings > Job > Options
Scroll down to Job Options and enable the option below:
Once enabled, drivers can only see jobs that belong in their assigned groups.
