The Auto sort jobs feature automatically sorts the job list in the driver app based on the next nearest location, optimizing their route for efficiency.
If you prefer to manually input your preferred job sequence from your job import/job form so that drivers view the job sequence you have provided, you can disable this feature.
How To Enable The Auto Sort Jobs Feature
To enable this feature, you need to configure two settings:
β
Step 1:
- Navigate to Settings > Job > Sorting and toggle Auto sort jobs to On.
- Click Save.
Step 2:
- Navigate to Settings > Job > Fields and disable the Job Sequence field.
- Click Save.
(Do note that if you do not disable job sequence, Auto Sort will not work)
Once both of the steps above are configured, jobs will be automatically sorted based on location proximity.
Job Sequence In Dashboard
How Jobs are Displayed on the Driver app
When Auto Sort Is On
Jobs assigned to the driver are automatically sorted based on location proximity, with the job nearest to the driver appearing at the top of the list. For example, if the driver is at 14 Market Street, NSW 2000, the nearest stop at 16 Market St, NSW 2000 will be the next stop displayed at the top of the list.
When Auto Sort Is Off
When Auto Sort is off, jobs will be sorted based on the job sequence you have defined in the dashboard. (Learn more here: How To Disable Auto Sorting Of Deliveries And Collections.)
Lastly, in Detrack, there is also an option to sort jobs by the ETA time of the job
