Switching to a new phone or tablet? No worries — your Detrack account lives in the cloud, so your data stays safe. You just need to set up the new device and deactivate the old one. Here's how.
Step 1: Check Your New Device Meets the Requirements
Before making the switch, confirm your new device meets the minimum specs:

Android | 7.0 or newer | 3 GB+ | 200 MB+ |
iOS | 16.0 or newer | 2 GB+ | 200 MB+ |
Make sure GPS, internet access, and phone call capability are enabled on the new device.

Step 2: Install the Detrack Driver App on Your New Device
Download the Detrack Driver app from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
Open the app and log in with your existing driver credentials — the same email and password you use on your current device.
Step 3: Deactivate the Old Device
Important: Each driver license is tied to one active device at a time.
Once you log in on the new device, the old device will be automatically logged out.
If the old device still shows as active, your account administrator can remove it:
Go to the Detrack Dashboard
Navigate to Vehicles
Select the driver
Click the Detrack ID field and clear the old device ID
Enter the new Detrack ID from the new device (found in the Driver App under Menu → Detrack ID)
Click Save

Step 4: Verify Everything Works
After logging in on the new device, check the following:
✅ GPS location is showing correctly on the dashboard
✅ You can see your assigned jobs
✅ Photo capture and signature features are working
✅ Push notifications are coming through
If anything looks off, try logging out and logging back in, or check that all permissions (location, camera, notifications) are enabled in your device settings.
What Happens to My Data?
All your job history, delivery records, photos, and signatures are stored securely in the cloud. Nothing is lost when you switch devices. Your new device will sync automatically once you log in.
